Accommodation:
Situated in an exclusive residential area with beautiful views of
the Kalamar bay and islands, this newly built apartment is
tastefully decorated in neutral shades with local artwork and Kilims
and offers a high standard of accommodation and facilities, making
it a real ‘home from home’. Conveniently situated only 5 minutes
walk to the Kalamar Beach Club where days can be spent sunbathing
and swimming. This has very good facilities and options for enjoying
a wide variety of water sports – an excellent place to spend the day
before walking into the centre of Kalkan for the evening, no more
than a 15/20 minute stroll along a pavemented and well lit road.
There are plenty of reasonably priced taxis, (our preferred driver’s
card is in our guide book) should you prefer not to walk.
The apartment has a very
generous sized downstairs open-plan area, consisting of a hall,
living area, dining area, Kitchen, downstairs WC/cloakroom and
hidden utility area. Outside of the patio doors from the dining
area, is a private terrace with a marble BBQ - a very shady spot
when it becomes too hot in the height of the season!
Upstairs you will find a
spacious landing, a master bedroom that has French doors opening
onto a ‘Juliet’ balcony and stunning views over Kalamar bay. It has
a king sized bed and en-suite with a bath as well as WC/basin. The
second bedroom has 2 adult sized beds and also has an en-suite with
a shower and benefits from another terrace with a small table & 2
chairs - more than adequate for taking a private breakfast on, or
just sitting in the shade to read and relax.
The apartment is extremely well
furnished and fitted out; seating and dining for 4+, washing
machine, dishwasher, gas cooker/hob, large refrigerator,
crockery/cutlery/pans/utensils etc., iron/board, small flat screen
TV (DVD’s only), Music centre with MP3 dock, hairdryer, 2 sun
loungers and stools with additional communal seating available
around the pool area. It has ample cupboards, drawers and wardrobe
and ALL towels and bed-linen are supplied.
The
apartment is cleaned once a week during your stay. A helpful
English couple will meet you with keys and show you around;
whatever time you arrive! We can also arrange for a very useful
‘Welcome Basket’ to be waiting for you, more than enough until
you can get to our local supermarket or café - just a 5 minute
stroll away. There are of course lots more shops in the village
itself and there are suggestions in our full guide book inside the
apartment for you - along with many recommendations of local
restaurants and places to visit.
